- Recite the Takbir:
- As you make your way to the prayer location, recite the distinct Takbir for Eid:
- “Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, La ilaha illallah, Wallahu akbar, Allahu akbar wa lillahil hamd.”
- This means “Allah is the greatest, there is no god but Allah. And Allah is the greatest, to Allah belongs all praise.”
- As you make your way to the prayer location, recite the distinct Takbir for Eid:
The First Rak’ah:
- Set Your Intention:
- Internally, intend to pray the Sunnah prayer of Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha (2 rak’ahs) for Allah.
- Follow the Imam:

The Second Rak’ah:

- In the second rak’ah, listen to the imam recite Surah al-Fatihah and another Surah.
- Recite the Takbirs and perform the Tashahhud.

After Eid Salah:
- Listen to the Khutbah:
- Pay attention to the sermon (Khutbah) delivered by the imam.
- Greet Your Family and Friends:
- After the prayer, greet your loved ones and fellow worshippers.
- Take a Different Route Home:
- Consider taking an alternate path back home after the second rak’ah.
Remember, Eid Salah is a special prayer performed twice a year—once at the end of Ramadan (Eid al-Fitr) and again during Eid al-Adha. May your Eid be blessed! 🌙🕌🌟
